We're Hiring: Senior Support Worker - Children's Residential Home (Manchester)
Full-time | Permanent | Flexible Shifts (Days/Nights/Weekends)
Are you ready to step up and lead by example? We're looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team, supporting young people aged 8-18 with emotional, behavioural, and social difficulties (EBD) in a therapeutic, family-style setting.
In this role, you will:
Support young people through their daily routines and emotional development
Lead shifts and supervise Support Workers, offering guidance and mentoring
Ensure safeguarding and care plans are followed effectively
Handle incident reports, documentation, and liaise with external professionals
Promote a positive, safe, and empowering environment for young people to grow
We're looking for someone who:
* Has 2+ years experience in a children's residential setting
* Holds a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Is calm, confident, and capable of leading a team
* Understands trauma-informed practice and challenging behaviour
* Can work flexible shifts including sleep-ins and weekends
* Holds a valid UK driving licence (preferred)
* Has or is willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check
