Our customer, a leading multinational medical equipment manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide short-term ad-hoc support in IT, data privacy, and commercial legal matters.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in reviewing privacy-related contractual terms, supporting IT and AI procurement processes, and advising on vendor management and risk-based contracting. This is a hands-on, process-oriented role suited for a commercially minded legal professional with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.

Key Responsibilities
* Review and advise on privacy and data protection terms in commercial contracts.
* Provide legal support on IT and AI-related contracts, including software procurement and technology services agreements.
* Assist in developing a contract playbook to empower procurement teams with standardized terms and guidance.
* Offer risk-based legal analysis to ensure business-aligned outcomes.
* Support the development of customer-facing FAQs related to privacy and product use.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, product teams, and external vendors.
* Ensure compliance with global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and internal policies.
Qualifications and Experience
* E&W Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE, preferably with in-house or commercial law firm experience.
* Strong background in data privacy, IT law, and commercial contracts.
* Practical knowledge of vendor management and contract negotiation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal topics to non-legal stakeholders.
* Demonstrated commercial acumen and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.
