Are you an experienced plumber looking for a new challenge? If you have the confidence to share your knowledge and experience with our students, we can provide training and support to help you succeed in your exciting new venture. Teaching experience is desirable, but we are looking for someone with the confidence to share their experience and knowledge with our students. We would provide support for gaining a formal teaching qualification alongside your work with us.
They will embrace a teaching environment that values creativity, technology, and forward-thinking methodologies. They will build strong, positive working relationships with a supportive and collaborative team of educators and professional services who share the common goal of providing a meaningful educational experience.
They will have excellent organisational and time-management skills and be able to prioritise work effectively to meet objectives and deadlines. They will be comfortable with and proactively adapt to rapid changes in educational trends within the sector. They will be able to plan and prioritise their work schedule to achieve objectives, possess strong IT skills, and be happy to be part of a close-knit team with shared goals.
We are seeking a plumber with experience working in an industrial or commercial setting and holding at least a Level 3 vocational qualification. You will be able to share your knowledge with our students in an engaging and informative manner. We will provide support for gaining a formal teaching qualification alongside your work with us and for settling into college life. Help with relocation costs can also be considered.
This post would contribute to the college's contribution to the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) by embracing low-carbon technology in the field.

What we're looking for
Qualifications
Essential Desirable Level 3 Vocational qualification in Plumbing A degree or equivalent qualification in the related discipline English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE A* to C or equivalent) Assessor Award A recognised teaching qualification or be willing to obtain within 2 years of appointment IV award
Experience
Essential Desirable Experience of working in a relevant industrial/commercial environment Minimum of NVQ Level 3 on Plumbing Gas Safe registered An ability to react to changes in demand/curriculum Able to work as part of a team Strong communication skills both verbal and written Full UK driving license Recent experience of teaching in an FE/HE environment
