This position is all about building relationships with the people you will be supporting while helping them with their day-to-day routine in line with their personal support plans such as dressing, personal care, finances, medication, attending any appointments along with employment, Volunteering and hobbies. About the Service At Derwenthorpe we support four young people aged from 26-31 with learning and physical disabilities, mental health conditions, down syndrome and autism. They have 24/7 hours in supported spreading across two connected houses with two floors and a beautiful garden, with a mixture of shared, 1:1 and 2:1 support. Shifts will be varied and include weekends, sleeps and waking nights. The people we support at Derwenthorpe also enjoy taking part in lots of activities such as gardening and baking. They have a lot of indoor games at the house and they love making competitions and having board games nights. They also love doing indoor parties and barbecues in the garden at summer time. They attend activities such as Athletics, bowling, discos, going to the cinema, going to the theatre and they love a good musical and comedy to watch.
