We’re looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our busy Payroll team, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time across multiple payroll frequencies. Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager, you’ll play a vital role in delivering a reliable, efficient, and compliant payroll service for over 12,000 colleagues.
You’ll work closely with teams across Finance and People, helping to maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and service.
In this role you will:
* Process all payrolls and input relevant data accurately across all frequencies.
* Manage payroll queries from employees and management teams.
* Process new starters, leavers, and contractual amendments.
* Maintain all statutory records in line with current legislation.
* Input variable payments such as overtime and holiday pay.
* Liaise with HMRC, DWP, and other external bodies where required.
* Maintain accurate payroll records and filing systems.
* Distribute payslips and payroll information to stores.
You’re organised, thorough, and take pride in getting things right the first time. You enjoy working with numbers and have a strong sense of responsibility when it comes to ensuring colleagues are paid correctly.
You’ll bring:
* Previous payroll experience (desired but not essential).
* Strong numeracy skills and high attention to detail.
* Confidence using IT systems, including Excel and Word.
* Understanding of HMRC regulations and time & attendance systems (desired).
* Excellent organisation and time management skills.
* A collaborative approach and strong team ethic.
* You’ll succeed if you’re someone who builds strong working relationships, manages competing priorities effectively, and consistently delivers high-quality work with accuracy and care.
