This is a part time role (approximately 27 hours per week) which will include one day off a week and just 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am - 12pm) No OOHs or Sundays providing an excellent work/life balance!
We are a family-owned small animal stand-alone practice based in Kidderminster. Owners Olivia and Edward Pring qualified from Royal Veterinary College London in 2002. Keen to share their clinical knowledge and experience with their team, Edd has interest in Dermatology and has passed his Small Animal Surgery Certificate and Olivia has an interest in ultrasound scanning.
We have a truly great, supportive team of 2 vets, 2 fully qualified RVN’s, 1 student veterinary nurse and 4 receptionists that make newcomers feel welcome and provide a supportive environment whilst maintaining a good sense of humour.
We are looking for someone enthusiastic and dedicated to providing superb standards of client and animal care with a genuine passion for animal welfare. You will need to be a strong team player with solid nursing skills and great communication skills.
As you will be taking the role of Head Veterinary Nurse it is important that you mentor and guide our SVN through her 2nd and 3rd year, so ideally you will be a clinical coach or you will be happy to work towards this. Other duties will include:
1. Stock ordering.
2. Arranging the Nurse meetings and chairing them
3. Working closely with the PM to ensure the standards within practice are maintained.
4. Taking the lead on organising cover for annual leave and sickness
We have a brilliant local reputation for our excellent standards of client and patient care. You will be working in our spacious, air-conditioned surgery which is purpose built to industry leading standards and is well equipped with a digital x-ray, ultrasound scanner, in house Idexx lab equipment and microscope.
As discussed, this is a part time role ideally for 4 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 1:4 Saturdays) however there is flexibility in this so if you are looking for something different, please get in contact and we can discuss options with you.
