Post: Full time and permanent

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications & experience

Probationary period: 6 months

Location: Appley Bridge

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will take personal accountability for providing a responsive and effective service and should possess the below qualities:

Your Role & Impact

* Answering telephone calls professionally and courteously
* Processing orders efficiently and accurately
* Managing direct shipments from supplier to customer
* Placing orders with internal/external suppliers and arranging timely deliveries
* Monitoring stock levels in line with customer demand and supplier lead times
* Managing customer expectations and proactively communicating any issues related to their order
* Handling invoice queries and raising credit notes when necessary

Required skills and responsibilities

* Committed to delivering an exceptional level of customer service
* Experience in construction and/or roofing (desirable)
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Previous experience in customer service roles
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Strong IT skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Ability to work under pressure
* Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Takes ownership of problems and sees them through to resolution
