Full Job Description: Position: Quantity Surveyor – Civils, Housing & Utilities Location: Manchester (with travel to project sites across the UK) Salary: Competitive (depending on experience) Type: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: Company vehicle, varied project portfolio, strong long-term prospects We are recruiting for a respected property development firm based in Manchester, with a growing portfolio across civil engineering, housing, and utilities sectors. They are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with experience in multi-sector infrastructure and construction projects. ⚙️ Key Responsibilities: * Produce tender quotations, cost plans, and procurement documentation * Manage subcontractor engagement and supplier pricing * Administer NEC contracts and manage change control processes * Handle CVIs, EWNs, valuations, final accounts, and forecasting * Collaborate with the Site and Project Managers for effective delivery * Attend site meetings and liaise with clients regarding cost/spec changes * Resolve contract disputes and proactively manage risk Requirements: * Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar * 5 years’ experience in the construction industry * At least 3 years’ experience managing medium-large civils or utilities projects * Knowledge of NEC contracts is essential * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills * RICS/ICES chartered or working towards preferred * CSCS, SMSTS, or relevant H&S training desirable * Full UK driving licence required Interested?
