Overview
We are looking to recruit an Estates Compliance Engineer which is a pivotal role within the Estates Service. The postholder is responsible for ensuring all maintenance and project works across the FX Plus estate meet the highest standards of statutory and organisational compliance.
Responsibilities
In this key position, you will have oversight of statutory and mandatory maintenance and management plans, quality assurance inspections, and liaison with contractors and statutory authorities to ensure high levels of service delivery and adherence to technical standards. You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across FX Plus and both universities, providing expert support in the organisation and oversight of planned and reactive maintenance, as well as project activities. A core element of the role is ensuring that external contractors deliver work safely, professionally, and efficiently, in line with compliance requirements. It is an exciting time as we grow the department as our university partners continue to move ahead with our ambitious growth plans. Qualifications
* Strong understanding of statutory and regulatory compliance related to estates and maintenance operations (e.g., H&S, CDM, PSSR, LOLER).
* Experience carrying out audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
* Competence in reviewing and managing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
* Experience working with contractors and managing service delivery performance.

This post is offered on a 37.5 hour a week, full time, permanent contract working across Monday-Friday.
