YMCA Henley is looking for a Supported Housing Officer to join our team in Henley-on-Thames. This role involves providing person-centred housing-related support to residents, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to move towards independent living. You will work with individuals who may have experienced homelessness or face a range of challenges, including mental health needs, substance misuse, or complex life circumstances Key Responsibilties: • Provide one-to-one, person-centred support and develop tailored support plans • Support residents to identify and achieve goals relating to housing, health, education, and employment • Encourage independence through guidance, practical support, and life skills development (e.g. budgeting, cooking, tenancy management) • Promote resident wellbeing, respond to safeguarding concerns, and maintain a safe living environment • Assist with referrals, assessments, and onboarding of new residents • Support effective housing management, including occupancy, rent accounts, property standards, and health & safety checks • Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and reporting requirements • Work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals, contributing to meetings and ensuring residents access appropriate services About you! You will communicate clearly, work well with others, and take a flexible approach to your work, including occasional evenings or weekends. A professional, empathetic manner and respect for diversity are essential!
