Overview
Mott MacDonald Bentley are recruiting for an Electrical Site Supervisor to join the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA). The 330km Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) Project by Anglian Water is under construction and will be completed during AMP8. Beyond this we have a further 260km of water transfer pipelines and associated infrastructure to be delivered in AMP8.
Responsibilities
* Oversee electrical work and site electricians, issuing permits and ensuring electrical safety rules are followed.
* Manage electrical projects from inception to completion; responsible for site electrical works, delivery teams and subcontractors on site.
* Utilise time and resources effectively to meet project budgets and delivery programmes.
* Implement and monitor health, safety, quality, environmental and performance standards; ensure all work meets water industry regulations and AW approved standards.
* Work in accordance with Anglian Water Electrical Safety rules & procedures.
* Implement SPA Integrated Management System requirements and statutory legal regulations with attention to HSE legislation.
* Ensure electrical plant and equipment is tested and recorded on plant sheets for SPA; ensure subcontractor information is supplied prior to use.
* Ensure works are carried out in line with approved method statements; review and amend risk assessments.
* Deliver toolbox talks; discuss changes to method statements with site team and update accordingly.
* Deliver pre-start of shift briefings; ensure all areas of works are covered.
* Ensure site personnel have job-relevant training and that it is entered on the site personnel training register.
* Carry out plant checks to ensure good working order and certification is in date.
* Track, monitor and record daily work production and communicate relevant information to the Site Manager.
* Lead by example, supervise activities pro-actively and uphold the SPA values.
Skills, Experience and Behaviours
* Good understanding of WIMES (Water Industry Mechanical & Electrical Specifications).
* Good understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
* CSCS Affiliated Electrical supervisor card.
* CITB SMSTS qualification.
* BS7671 18th edition qualified electrician.
* 3-day First aid qualification.
* Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
