About the role
Digital technologies are transforming the University of Exeter. As the AI Product and Delivery Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the University’s 2030 strategy by leading the definition, delivery, and validation of custom AI and Agentic applications across education, research and operations.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Product, you will translate complex business challenges and user needs into actionable delivery plans, working closely with AI Engineers, IT and Digital colleagues. You will collaborate with academic leads, service owners and external partners to deliver initiatives aligned with the Enabling AI Strategy and AI Policy, ensuring ethical, sustainable and transformative AI capability across the institution.
Qualifications
No specific technical or educational qualifications are listed, but the role requires strong leadership, strategic planning and AI delivery experience in a higher‑education or research environment. You must be able to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

The starting salary will be from £50,253 per annum on grade G, depending on experience and qualifications.
