Central Production Unit Manager
Northwest | Salary up to £42,000 + Bonus
A high-volume food production facility is seeking an experienced CPU Manager to lead site operations and drive performance in a fast-paced environment.
This role holds full accountability for people leadership, operational delivery, compliance, and financial performance. You’ll lead a large production team, ensure safe and efficient output, and deliver continuous improvement across quality, cost, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all day-to-day operations of a central food production facility
* Deliver production targets, quality standards, and food safety compliance
* Full P&L accountability, including labour, waste, and cost control
* Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing management and production team
* Forecast and plan production volumes and resources, including peak periods
* Drive continuous improvement and change initiatives
* Ensure full health & safety, food safety, and audit compliance
About You
* Senior leadership experience within food production or manufacturing
* Background in high-volume or central production environments
* Strong commercial awareness with P&L ownership
* Confident decision-maker, comfortable working at pace
* Hands-on, resilient leader with strong people skills
