The PizzaExpress Group comprises business units in the UK & Ireland, Hong Kong, and UAE, with numerous international franchises including India, Singapore, Kuwait, and Indonesia. The core purpose of the Group reporting team is to act as a central consolidation function and to meet internal and external financial reporting requirements. The role includes the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual Group financial information.
Please note, this role requires working between our central London hubs and our Uxbridge office on a hybrid basis.
What you'll be doing:
* Support in Group period-end processes, including maintenance of the Group consolidation system (FCCS).
* Preparation of Group management information for the Board of Directors, including assistance with:
* Analysis of periodic financial information submitted by business units.
* Preparation of quarterly reports for bondholders, including backup information for senior management.
* Review of statutory audits of each business unit.
* Production of UK statutory accounts, including support with consolidated Group accounts and the Annual Report.
* Preparation of papers on ad hoc issues for review by the Group Executive Committee.
What you'll need:
* Qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting skills.
* Up-to-date knowledge and experience of UK and international accounting and reporting (including IFRS).
* Ability to manage work streams through others, not just individually.
* Experience with complex consolidations involving multi-currency inputs.
* Ability to independently analyze issues and improve processes.
