Are you interested in working for an award-winning social care charity?
Personal Assistants play a vital role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same, but your role will involve supporting individuals with learning disabilities to achieve their goals and outcomes, whatever they may be.
Each person supported has unique needs. Your responsibilities may include personal care, moving and handling, positive behavioral support, and expanding social networks and connections.
Enable creates a bespoke team around each individual, and our Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure safety, wellbeing, and the aspirations of those we support are met.
The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me
The people we support have diverse interests, hobbies, dreams, and aspirations. They often lack opportunities to pursue these. A career with Enable is rewarding and diverse; our Personal Assistants have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people they support.
You will work as part of a team supporting residents in Largs, in a community of adults with various support needs across 22 houses. Some residents require essential support with their daily living and home maintenance; others need assistance accessing the community, or both. Staff are on-site 24/7, and training will be provided. Travel expenses are paid if you are not local to Largs.
Let us introduce you to some of the people we support:
We have 22 residents with diverse social lives—some enjoy weekly outings like discos, bowling, swimming, or visiting the pub; others prefer staying at home watching movies, chatting, or shopping. Most need support with meals, medication, finances, and housework. All staff will receive training and support to meet these varied needs.
That is why the people in Largs need you! Will you bring your best to help them live their best lives?
