What will you be doing?
1. Managing all aspects of people management, from performance to absence management; (including any approved leave – ensuring there is appropriate cover prior to authorising)
2. Managing staff development and ensure staff remain motivated, challenged with appropriate workloads and that they receive the appropriate training and guidance
3. Carrying out formal annual summary (appraisal) and regular check in and be accessible and approachable for all team members
4. Anticipate areas where problems are likely to arise on the basis of past experience and implement preventative measures e.g., daily and scheduled work in progress, checking and monitoring internal SLA’s and where the team may have struggled in the past, flagging with managers where needed
5. Take a proactive role in recruitment on the team. Identify suitable candidates and carry out interviews
6. Work collaboratively with the London team and making resources available to provide cross location support if needed
7. Ensuring that all work is being logged in/out accurately and promptly, regular tasks are identified for each client and planned for
8. Identifying daily priorities and allocate work accordingly
9. Planning scheduled long term tasks, including overseeing the agreement of a plan of action with relevant parties and monitoring progress, ensuring there is appropriate communication with all relevant parties
10. Complete a weekly report for the management team (eg wip, completed work and advanced work scheduling)
11. Ensure that timesheets are submitted promptly by the team and, where appropriate, are reviewed prior to submission
What skills, qualities and experience are we looking for?
12. Prior experience in an administrative role ideally in a Team Leadership position
13. Well-organised and personable
14. Ability to work using your own initiative as well as part of a team
15. You'll thrive on working to tight deadlines and delivering excellent customer service in accordance with either internal or client service level agreements
16. You are conscientious, reliable, efficient and have a willingness to learn and help
17. Accuracy, attention to detail and flexibility are attributes you will have in abundance!
