GSL Education are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in a well-regarded school located in Sinfin. This position is ideal for individuals considering a career in teaching young people in an educational setting. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be the vital link that keeps classrooms running smoothly during teacher absences.
As a Cover Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
* Supervising lessons across a range of subjects during teacher absences.
* Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students stay on task.
* Delivering pre-set lesson plans and adhering to school policies.
* Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Providing feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and engagement.
To be successful as a Cover Supervisor, you should:
* Have previous experience working with secondary-aged students or in a similar supervisory role.
* Possess excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
* Be flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different classroom environments.
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
* Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps over the past 10 years.
