Overview
We are currently recruiting a talented Solicitor to join our Medical Negligence team based in Leeds. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Partner Ross McWilliams, who specialises in complex cases including birth injuries, brain and spinal injuries, cancer misdiagnosis, and fatal claims. The team is committed to improving patient safety and to helping clients and their families through challenging times.
Responsibilities
* Manage your own caseload on medical negligence matters, while assisting senior team members with more complex, high-value cases.
* Handle cases from start to finish, using commercial and analytical skills to identify key issues and propose practical solutions for clients.
* Where possible, secure interim payments to facilitate rehabilitation, care packages, and suitable accommodation before claims conclude.
* Collaborate with colleagues to deliver the best outcomes for clients and provide high standards of service with attention to detail.
Qualifications
* 1 year PQE or more in Medical Negligence.
* Ability to take instructions from clients and provide sound legal advice.
* Demonstrable technical experience in medical negligence.
* Experience assisting senior colleagues on high-value, complex cases.
* Ability to manage own caseload with exceptional attention to detail and seamless service; capable of working independently and as part of a team.
