We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring activities co-ordinator to join our team for 20 hours a week over 5 days at our small, friendly, residential home in Aigburth
You will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents, some of whom are living with dementia. The successful candidate will plan, organise, and deliver a variety of meaningful and engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver a programme of daily activities and events suited to residents' individual interests and abilities.
* Encourage resident participation and inclusion, adapting activities to support those living with dementia or reduced mobility.
* Build positive relationships with residents, families, and the wider care team.
* Liaise with external entertainers, community groups, and volunteers to enrich the activities programme.
* Maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and resident engagement.
* Support residents to celebrate special occasions, festivals, and themed events.
About You
* Compassionate, patient, and respectful towards older people and those living with dementia.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Creative and resourceful, with the ability to motivate and engage residents.
* Organised, reliable, and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
* Previous experience in a similar role or within a care setting is desirable, though not essential.
