Order Processing and Dispatch Coordinator Location: East Lothian Salary: £32,000 to £38,000 per annum, depending on experience Hours: 40 hours per week Recruiter: Blue Arrow Blue Arrow are recruiting on behalf of a well-established fresh produce business based in East Lothian for an experienced Order Processing and Dispatch Coordinator. This is a key role within a fast-paced packing and logistics environment, ensuring accurate order processing, effective stock allocation and timely customer deliveries. Please note, due to the location of the site, candidates must have their own transport. The Role The Order Processing and Dispatch Coordinator plays a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the dispatch function, overseeing retailer orders, transport bookings and system updates to support the smooth and efficient dispatch of high-quality fresh produce. Key Responsibilities Receive and process daily retailer orders via email, ERP systems such as Tropos, and EDI platforms Plan and allocate stock to meet customer orders, working closely with the packing team where required Configure pallets to meet customer and transport requirements and accurately record dispatch information Book daily collections and delivery slots with external hauliers, proactively resolving any issues or delays Enter and manage orders on customer ordering platforms, ensuring full traceability through to dispatch Prepare and issue accurate dispatch notes and delivery documentation Monitor tray and pallet stock levels, arrange replenishment, and manage daily de-hire of trays and pallets Support Packhouse Managers with production planning and maintain accurate stock sheets Provide general support and absence cover for Packhouse Managers Assist with transport planning and communication of dispatch deadlines Create product dispatch lines and support forward planning of raw materials and staffing Undertake additional duties as required, which may occasionally include tasks outside the packhouse or basic maintenance and cleaning duties Skills and Experience Required Proven experience using ERP systems and EDI platforms, with strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities Strong communication skills, with confidence liaising with hauliers, depots and internal teams High attention to detail, particularly in stock control and documentation Good understanding of food hygiene, health and safety standards Must have own transport and be reliable with attendance Hours and Holidays 40 hours per week Working hours to be agreed with the Head of Dispatch and Logistics Some flexibility is required, including occasional weekend work Overtime available at peak times throughout the year 28 days holiday per annum, pro rata If this role sounds like the right fit for you, apply today through Blue Arrow to find out more.
