MEB is seeking a Quality Control Project Engineer to support the implementation and administration of project-specific quality control programs on active construction sites. This position works under the direction of the Quality Control Manager to ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
The Quality Control Project Engineer will play a critical role in assisting with inspections, documentation, submittal management, and communication with the project team, testing agencies, and subcontractors. This is a site-based position requiring attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to MEB’s standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.

Core Areas of Responsibility.
Support the Quality Control Manager in implementing MEB’s Quality Control Program for assigned projects.
Assist in planning, conducting, and documenting preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.
Prepare and maintain Quality Control Daily Reports and testing logs.
Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Assist with submittal preparation, tracking, and distribution, ensuring current documentation is available to the project team.
Coordinate with testing labs, subcontractors, and suppliers for field testing, inspections, and material certifications.
Support the management of nonconformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions to resolution.
Participate in pre-inspection and punch list processes.
Maintain and update as-built drawings, redlines, and project photo documentation.
Promote MEB’s core values, ensuring quality, health, and safety standards are upheld across all site activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent field experience).
Experience in construction quality control, project engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and means of compliance with specifications and drawings.
Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and submittals.
Proficient with construction management software such as Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and project documentation systems.
Must hold or obtain the following certifications/training:
USACE/NAVFAC Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Certification
OSHA 30-Hour Construction
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I (preferred)
Other training as defined in the MEB Safety Training Matrix
* This position will support a NAVFAC project and requires the ability to obtain and maintain access credentials to work on military installations.
