Job Description
Our client is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to work on clean and wastewater projects as part of a capital delivery program. You’ll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support maintenance and growth of water and wastewater systems.
This role can be done remotely with monthly travel requirements to Glasgow.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Support Project Managers with design and engineering tasks before construction starts.
* Attend and contribute to design and progress meetings.
* Work closely with other engineers to coordinate designs.
* Create technical documents like cable calculations, schematics, and cable schedules.
* Produce electrical drawings, cable routes, and system layouts.
* Review designs to make sure they meet industry standards.
* Write reports, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
What They’re Looking For
* Qualifications: Electrical Degree, HND, HNC, or equivalent.
* Experience: Experience in design work within clean/wastewater or utility sectors.
* License: Clean driving license.
* Professional Status: Chartered, Incorporated, or working towards it (CEng/IEng).
* Skills: Able to guide junior staff, work well in a team, and meet deadlines.
