Art Teacher based at Pathways Learning Centre

We have an opportunity for a permanent, full time Art teacher from 01 September 2026. We are also able to consider flexible working hours that fit in with other personal commitments such as childcare.

We require an enthusiastic and committed Art Teacher. Experience of KS3/4 specialisms and/or having SEND experience would be an advantage but not essential. This post will support students on site.
Pathways Learning Centre provides short stay education and therapeutic support for up to 170 students between Key Stage 1 – 4; who are unable to access mainstream provision for a variety of reasons. The successful applicant will join a dynamic, enthusiastic team, totally committed to supporting some of the most vulnerable students in South Gloucestershire.

It is anticipated that shortlisting will take place on 1st June 2026 followed by Interviews taking place week commencing 9th June 2026.
Application process:
Applications are made via Eteach. The supporting statement section of the application must explain how you meet each requirement of the Person Specification using examples of your skills and experience. This may include experience from employment, education, or during career breaks. The supporting statement must be not more than 1000 words.

Suitability to work with children and young people will form part of the selection process. Short-listed applicants will be asked to complete a self-declaration of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children and young people. Where given permission to do so, references will be requested for short-listed candidates prior to interview.
