GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join schools inthe Rotherham (S65) area. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to implement tailored strategies that promote engagement, confidence, and personal growth, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor : Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and social, emotional needs. Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils develop strategies for self-regulation. Support class teachers in maintaining a productive and inclusive classroom environment. Build strong relationships with pupils to promote confidence, engagement, and progress. Remain patient, calm, and adaptable when addressing challenging behaviour. Requirements for Behaviour Mentor : Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable. Strong behaviour management and communication skills. A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to working with pupils. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
