About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Everyone here understands that our Residents are individuals with their own stories, just like you and me. Joining HC-One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents, assist the Home Manager in organizing fundraising events, and help Residents socialise more effectively. Your role involves developing activity programs based on Residents’ hobbies and involving the care team, all conducted with kindness and consideration.
We seek someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally with a background in developing activity programs. Your positive energy, ability to get along with people, planning, organizational, and IT skills are essential. You should communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All staff will receive safeguarding training relevant to their role and additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and escalate concerns appropriately.
We offer full training to support your development. In return, you will enjoy a variety of benefits, including:
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Nutritious meals during shifts of eight hours or more
* Company pension scheme
