Join Bradfield House in Bognor Regis as a Support Worker and provide care for people with severe learning disabilities, Autism, and challenging behaviors. Support and encourage them to lead full, valued, and independent lives.
You should be a 'people person' with effective communication skills, able to explain yourself clearly and understand others' behaviors and expressions. A good sense of humor, resilience, and willingness to assist with personal hygiene are important qualities.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be part of an inclusive, supportive team caring for people with learning disabilities and mental health conditions. Whether experienced as a Care Assistant or Support Worker, your knowledge and skills will help support residents to lead fulfilling lives.
Working with a multidisciplinary team, you will use your communication skills and background in Learning Disabilities & Autism to support individuals through their care pathway. A positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are essential, especially in challenging environments. The reward is seeing people improve because of your support.
Working Hours and Location
35 hours per week, with shifts from 7am-2.30pm and 2.30pm-10pm, including weekends on a rota.
Location: 119-121 Heene Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 4NY.
Bradfield House offers a specialist residential service with amenities like lounges, en-suite bedrooms, and gardens. It’s located near the seaside, with good transport links.
