Psychology Graduate – SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you a recent Psychology graduate ready to take on a rewarding new challenge?
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Coventry, seeking enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join their team on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm).
This specialist setting supports children and young people aged 7–18 with a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, and other complex learning difficulties. The school is known for its nurturing environment and strong focus on both academic and personal development, supported by dedicated therapy teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEN and a genuine passion for supporting young people in overcoming barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Work with small groups to reinforce learning
Provide 1:1 support for students requiring additional assistance
Monitor and record student progress, feeding back to teaching staff
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field
Knowledge or experience of working with SEN (desirable)
A passion for education and supporting young people
A valid DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
