Lead Mechanical Engineer - Power
Location: Damhead Creek
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £70,000
A leading UK power company is hiring a Lead Mechanical Engineer to ensure the mechanical integrity, performance, and compliance of its power stations. This key role supports safe, efficient operations and the transition to low-carbon energy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain mechanical integrity and statutory compliance of plant equipment
2. Lead planned and reactive maintenance, overhauls, and major projects
3. Manage contracts, suppliers, and OEMs
4. Drive continuous improvement and risk management
5. Support asset strategy and long-term service agreements
6. Travel across UK-based sites as needed
What We're Looking For
1. 5+ years' experience in Mechanical Engineering (ideally CCGT or power)
2. Degree-qualified or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
3. Strong knowledge of H&S regulations and contract management
4. Excellent leadership and project management skills
5. NEBOSH/IOSH certification (desirable)
6. Full UK Driving Licence
