The role is to manage our in-house Clinical Team at The Shires Oakham / Stretton, Rutland, and to work collaboratively with the schools Senior Leadership Team and the Regional Clinical Lead. The postholder will split time between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex profiles of need, including autism, other neurodivergence, developmental trauma and SEMH needs. Meeting EHCP plan needs will be a primary focus, target led via the OFG clinical framework.

Role details
Job Title: Lead Clinician
Salary: 50,000 – 60,000 dependent on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on personal circumstances)
Essential: Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

Responsibilities
Lead the in-house Clinical Team, working with SLT and Regional Clinical Lead. Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex needs arising from autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma and SEMH. Coordinate line management for onsite clinical team and lead on service development of the school-based clinical service. Maintain a person-centred, safeguarding-focused approach and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in clinical practice.
Essential criteria
* Degree qualification in the specified discipline
* Valid professional registration and membership of a professional body (e.g., BPS)
* Experience with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs
* Clear and concise clinical and research report writing
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
* Ability to work independently and within a growing clinical service
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
