Your newpany are a leader in their field based in Stoke-on-Trent and are looking for a Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent basis to supportpany growth.
Your new role
You will lead financial planning and analysis activities for the Group, providing insight, challenge and forward‑looking analysis to support strategic and operational decision‑making. Act as the key finance business partner to senior leadership, translating financial data into clear, actionable insight.
Key responsibilities
1. Own Group budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning
2. Deliver monthly forecasts, variance analysis and clear performancementary
3. Produce MI, dashboards and board‑level reporting with actionable insights
4. Build and maintain financial models for scenario planning, investment cases andmercial decisions
5. Partner with operational leaders to understand performance drivers, risks and opportunities
6. Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, reporting and data quality
7. Ensure alignment between management reporting, FP&A outputs and Group requirements
8. Lead, coach and develop the team
9. Set clear objectives, review performance and build a high‑impact, insight‑driven finance function
10. Foster strong collaboration between FP&A, management accounting and core finance teams
What you'll need to succeed
11. Experience working in a manufacturing environment
12. CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified
13. Strong FP&A,mercial finance or business partnering background
14. Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills
15. Experience using SAP
16. Highly organised with strong attention to detail
17. Able to work independently and collaboratively
18. Excellentmunication skills
19. Confident working with senior stakeholders
20. Experience leading and developing a team
21. Professional, adaptable, andfortable taking on new challenges
