Behaviour Mentor
Location: Scarborough
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026
GSL Education are looking for a committed Behaviour Mentor to support secondary-aged pupils within a specialist alternative provision in the Scarborough area.
About the School
The provision supports pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural guidance to re-engage with education. Relationship building, consistency and mentoring are central to the school’s approach.
Behaviour Mentor Responsibilities
* Provide mentoring and emotional support to identified pupils.
* Support behaviour regulation and social development.
* Act as a consistent and trusted adult.
* Encourage engagement with learning and routines.
* Work closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams.
Requirements
* Experience mentoring or supporting vulnerable young people.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Understanding of SEMH and behavioural needs.
* Calm, reflective and consistent approach.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
