We’re working with a highly regarded, Legal 500 ranked commercial firm in Leeds that’s looking to bring in an experienced Contentious Probate Lawyer at Legal Director or Partner level. This is a genuinely interesting opportunity for someone who enjoys high-quality work but also wants the autonomy to shape and grow a team.
The role
* Running a varied contentious probate caseload, including:
o Proprietary estoppel claims
o Inheritance Act claims
o Disputes around validity and interpretation of wills
o Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
* Leading and developing a small but busy team:
o 1 experienced Solicitor
o 1 Apprentice Solicitor
o 1 Paralegal
* Working closely with strong commercial litigation and private client teams across the wider firm

About you
* Around 7+ years’ PQE in contentious probate
* Comfortable handling complex disputes and supervising others
* Keen to step into a more senior, strategic role with real input into growth
