Our client is looking for someone to lead and manage the day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring all delivery, stock control, and health & safety objectives are met efficiently and effectively. The role focuses on managing staff performance, maintaining accurate inventory, and driving continuous improvement within the Distribution Centre. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities including picking, packing, goods inwards, booking in, and deliveries to ensure service objectives are met Ensure all orders and delivery notes are processed in full and on time Manage the receipt and auditing of goods in line with company procedures and systems Maintain accurate and timely stock movements using the company’s systems Conduct regular stock management tasks including perpetual inventory checks, updating stock data, and carrying out root cause analysis and corrective actions for discrepancies Lead, develop, and train Warehouse Handling Operatives, maintaining a training matrix and supporting staff development Perform and report on random checks to assess performance against branch KPIs Promote and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures in line with company and Group HSE policies Ensure all activities are carried out safely and in compliance with operational timeframes Drive customer-focused improvements and efficiencies throughout the Distribution Centre Plan and manage resources effectively to ensure peak efficiency and workflow Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised environment throughout the warehouse and external grounds, including the yard Undertake any additional responsibilities as required by the Line Manager in support of business goals Skills And Experience Essential: Proven experience in a similar warehouse supervisory role with responsibilities for stock and yard management, vehicle loading, and delivery scheduling Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage paperwork and process data accurately Competent in interpreting numerical data related to loads, deliveries, and stock Full UK driving licence Forklift truck certification Proficient in using IT systems and databases related to warehouse operations Desirable: Team Leader Certificate (NEBS/NVQ Level 2 or above) HGV licence and Driver CPC qualification If you know someone suitable for this role, share the word and through our referral scheme receive up to £250!
