Lead Clinician - Psychotherapist
Location: Orchard Manor School, Norfolk PE34 3HT
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks
Role Overview
As Lead Clinician you will manage the in‑house Clinical Team at Orchard Manor School and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. You will hold a therapy caseload and clinically lead the team, delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex profiles—including autism, neuro‑divergence, developmental trauma and SEHM needs. Meeting EHCP plans will be a primary focus, using OFG ‘all’, ‘group’ and ‘individual’ clinical ways of working. You will also coordinate line management of the onsite team and drive service development for the school‑based clinical service.
Responsibilities
* Manage and lead the clinical team at Orchard Manor School.
* Collaborate with the SLT and Regional Clinical Lead on clinical strategy.
* Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex needs.
* Ensure compliance with EHCP plans using OFG clinical models.
* Coordinate the line management of onsite clinical team members.
* Lead service development of the school‑based clinical service.
* Maintain a person‑centred, safeguarding culture and uphold high standards of care.
Qualifications / Essential Criteria
* Degree in a relevant discipline and at least 5 years’ clinical experience with leadership/managerial responsibilities.
* Valid and up‑to‑date professional registration and membership of a professional body (e.g. BPS).
* Experience working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs.
* Clear, concise report writing for clinical and research activities.
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team.
* Ability to work independently and adapt dynamically within a growing clinical service.
* Experience in multi‑professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty (preferred).
* Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.
