Our financial services client is embarking on a major multi-year Core Transformation Programme to implement a new core banking solution across their organisation. As the programme scales, maintaining delivery pace, milestone commitments, and alignment across workstreams is critical.
They are seeking a seasoned Programme Manager to lead planning, governance, and delivery across this strategic initiative. This is a critical role that requires someone who lives and breathes programme management, with a passion for structure, planning, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Determine appropriate mechanisms to manage delivery pace and velocity
* Understand key milestones and drive team to achieve them, focusing on the critical work.
* Manage, and escalate where required, delivery risks to ensure appropriate delivery risk tolerance
* Provide plan insight and updates to programme senior leadership
* Support development of 2026 plan including resourcing and delivery structures
* Provide expert guidance and support to workstreams in the construction of their individual plans, ensuring awareness of dependencies and any constraints / implications.
The successful candidate will have the following skills/knowledge:
* Proven experience in programme management, ideally within large-scale transformation programmes.
* Financial Services experience, particularly in core banking, is highly desirable.
* Strong planning, governance, and delivery focus.
