About The Role:
Location: WC2E 7QH Role purpose
Lead and manage all aspects of security and safety across the site, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for traders, staff, visitors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Security Team, ensuring duties are delivered to Assignment Instructions and site procedures.
Manage day-to-day security service delivery, including security systems contractors, ensuring high standards.
Build strong relationships with market providers and stakeholders; maintain a proactive, customer-focused service
Develop contingency/continuity plans and drive best practice and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with licensing, vetting, ISO quality systems and Health & Safety requirements.
Support recruitment, inductions, training, welfare checks, appraisals, and performance/HR processes where required.
Manage rotas, holidays and shift planning.
Produce weekly/monthly reports and attend customer meetings (including minutes).
Liaise with Police and Counter Terrorism contacts; support and maintain the Security Escalation Plan.
Oversee Control Room (CCTV) standards: staff training, competency records, procedures, audits and fault reporting.
Maintain the Security Management System (SMS) and Key Press System; respond to incidents and emergencies as required.
Health & Safety Accountabilities (summary)
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safe systems of work are in place, communicated and followed.
Ensure staff are trained/competent, equipment is fit for purpose, and work is properly supervised.
Work with H&S support teams, keep up to date with legislation, and review risk assessments/method statements.
Essential Requirements
Educated to GCSE/O-Level standard (or equivalent).
Experience in security supervision/site management with strong operational delivery.
Strong client/stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong admin/IT skills (email, documents, spreadsheets, reporting).
Knowledge of security practices and technical systems; experience implementing SOPs.
Resilient, self-starting people manager with a customer-focused approach.
Desirable / Qualifications
Higher education.
IOSH Health & Safety qualification.
ILM Level 3 (or equivalent) management qualification.
SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
Experience with Access Control, CCTV, BMS and database systems.
