Assistant Buyer
£26 - 28k p/a, HD9, Mon-Thurs 7am - 5.15pm, T-P,
The role:
Our client is looking for a motivated and eager to learn Assistant Buyer to join their purchasing team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in purchasing.
The role will initially involve working in stores to gain hands on knowledge of our products before transitioning into a trainee position within the purchasing department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in stores to familiarise yourself with stock and inventory processes
2. Supporting the purchasing team with order management and supplier communications
3. Learning to source materials, negotiate pricing, and process purchase orders
4. Maintaining accurate records and updating procurement systems
5. Developing an understanding of supply chain processes
Requirements:
6. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
7. Good communication and organisational skills
8. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Package:
9. 4 day week
10. 39 per week (Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 5:15 pm)
11. £26 -28k p/a
12. Free onsite parking / main bus route
