The Role
We're seeking an experienced Lead Project Planner to provide planning and scheduling leadership across this complex infrastructure programme. You'll work with multidisciplinary teams, simplify complex programmes for senior stakeholders, and ensure successful delivery of major engineering works.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead planning and scheduling activities across major construction/engineering projects
* Communicate planning outputs clearly to non-planning personnel and senior stakeholders
* Simplify complex programmes for effective reporting and decision-making
* Lead and develop planning teams
* Manage stakeholder relationships across multiple delivery partners
* Coordinate railway access planning and scheduling activities
* Utilize proprietary planning software tools to deliver programme schedules
Essential Requirements
* Membership of a relevant professional body(or working towards CPD)
* Proven experiencemanaging, planning and delivering major construction/engineering projects
* Strong expertisein proprietary planning/scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.)
* Project resource management knowledge and experience
* Excellent communication skills at all levels - ability to engage stakeholders effectively
* Team leadership experience with evidence of developing others
* Railway design and delivery principlesunderstanding
* A-level standard educationin mathematics or IT-related subject
* Strong IT user skills
Desirable
* Knowledge of railway access principles and box plans
* Experience within the UK rail industry
* Familiarity with major infrastructure client processes and systems
* Previous work on large-scale transport programmes
