About the Role
Aker Solutions in Dyce, Aberdeen, is seeking a Project HSSE Advisor for Jackdaw HUC and East Anglia 3 projects.
This PAYE contract will run until the end of 2025, with possible extensions.
Responsibilities
* Work with project managers to embed the correct HSSE mindset throughout projects.
* Develop and implement HSSE plans and risk management during Hook-Up and Commissioning phases.
* Ensure HSSE Management System integration within operations.
* Lead in developing and maintaining HSSE procedures.
* Plan, organize, and execute HSSE activities in compliance with project, company, and legislative requirements.
* Complete all HSSE elements in the Project Execution Model to remain compliant with PEM.
* Participate in incident investigations, report incidents, and record in Synergi.
* Conduct Root Cause Analysis and prepare Lessons Learned reports.
* Review and endorse vendor HSSE documents.
* Assist in supplier management, including pre-qualification assessments.
* Perform audits for teams and departments.
* Complete monthly HSSE reporting in Synergi.
* Conduct onboarding and safety training for personnel.
* Coordinate safety meetings, communicate safety alerts, and promote safety initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
Essential: Valid OEUK Medical, BOSIET, MIST certifications.
* NVQ 4/NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
* Qualified investigator (Kelvin Topset or 8D).
* Recognized Environmental qualification.
* Qualified lead auditor (ISO 9001, 45001, or 14001) with at least 3 years of auditing experience.
* Training in ISO standards.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Synergi.
Personal Competencies
* Commercial awareness.
* Customer focus.
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in offshore Oil & Gas or similar industries.
* Training in Incident Investigation, Root Cause Analysis, and Chemical Management/COSHH.
