About the Role As an Environmental Services Officer, you will carry out a wide range of grounds maintenance activities to help keep Chesterfield clean, safe and attractive. Your duties will include: Mowing grass verges, parks and open spaces using pedestrian and ride‑on mowers Operating other petrol‑powered equipment as required Emptying litter and dog waste bins Undertaking litter‑picking duties across the borough There may also be opportunities to support more specialist tasks, such as: Fine turf maintenance Sports pitch preparation Drainage works This is a hands‑on role where you will make a visible difference to the local environment and the experience of residents and visitors.
