Career Teachers are recruiting a Teaching Assistant / LSA to work in our secondary school based in Southall. This full-time position runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:45 pm, supporting children with additional needs in a mainstream secondary school.
If you are passionate about developing a career in education and eager to support young people, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. The role is long-term with the view to become permanent and pays between £86-£105 per day via PAYE or Umbrella options.
General Skills
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Teaching Assistant (TA), you will have:
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant in a UK school or possess a NARIC qualification
* Graduates with mentoring or tutoring experience (must be evidenced with a reference)
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Maths, Science, Art, History, etc.
* Sports coaching experience
* In-person tutoring experience
* Experience as a Cover Supervisor or Exam Invigilator looking to transition into a TA/LSA role
Responsibilities
* Ensuring students stay focused and on task
* Managing student behaviour positively
* Following school policies on behaviour management
* Following instructions and work set by the Head of Department or class teachers
* Supporting students on a 1-1 basis and assisting the class teacher
