Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and reliable Personal Assistant to provide support for a client in the Wesham area. This is a part-time role offering 5 hours per week, to be worked over 2 days (2.5 hours per day). The days are flexible and can be discussed at interview. The role requires a car driver with proof of business insurance, as some tasks may involve local trips.
The successful candidate will assist our client, who has mobility challenges and struggles with gripping due to arthritis. The support will be introduced gradually, in line with the client’s pace, and the aim is to provide practical help and companionship. A good understanding of mental health issues would be beneficial in this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with cooking tasks (e.g., opening tins, packets, and tubs and putting things into the oven)
* Encouraging and assisting with household domestic tasks
* Providing support for gardening activities such as potting plants
* Helping with arts and crafts or baking activities
* Future potential assistance for community outings or medical appointments (as needed)
Requirements
* A car and proof of business insurance is essential
* Experience or understanding of mental health issues.
* Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to supporting a client with specific needs
* Pet-friendly, as the client may be acquiring a large dog in the near future
