Location: X-Site, Renfrew
Working Hours: working on a rotating 9‑week rolling roster with other members of the security team, 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Role Overview And Purpose
This is an important role as a public face of the Security Team. A can‑do and professional attitude is essential in this highly influential role. You also need to ensure exemplary standards of Security and Customer Service are always provided to the client and visitors to the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Readily interact with all visitors/tenants within the X‑Site Braehead leisure facility, delivering first‑class, customer‑focused service.
- Carry out regular patrols of the centre as detailed in the site assignment instructions, always being proactive.
- Continuously look for opportunities to assist visitors at the centre, helping wherever possible.
- Safeguard the site to ensure a non‑threatening environment for all visitors/tenants.
- Ensure all incidents are managed in accordance with site policies and procedures.
- Proactively liaise with the site control room, react to incidents, and keep colleagues fully briefed and supported.
- Report any unsecured areas of the site to the control room immediately and ensure resolution.
- Record and log all non‑conformances and emergencies with the appropriate control room operatives.
- Deal efficiently and effectively with all emergencies, keeping the centre team fully informed.
- Monitor and surveil suspect individuals, logging and reporting incidents in line with site/company policies.
- Maintain vigilance and manage unauthorised access by banned individuals.
- Adhere to radio procedures at all times.
- Record all events/incidents in the Security Officer notebook correctly and follow notebook policies.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager.
- Respond promptly to all security issues and events.
- Complete all training requirements as requested by line manager.
- Be available to cover at least one additional shift per month if requested to cover absence or annual leave.
- Collaborate closely with the Environmental Services team, delivering integrated service and highlighting opportunities to work as one team.
- Be professional, pleasant, friendly, courteous, and helpful while carrying out duties to the highest standard.
Required Skills And Experience
- SIA Front Line or SIA Door Supervisor licence required; SIA CCTV licence desirable.
- Take ownership of all situations to ensure tasks are completed or escalated when necessary.

- Respect all staff and visitors within the centre.
