Health and Safety Officer
25 hours per week | Flexible working hours | £17 per hour
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business.
They are now looking to appoint a Health and Safety Officer to manage the sites full H&S function, working closely with the Operations Director.
This is a genuinely influential role where youll help shape safety culture, strengthen compliance, and directly impact the wellbeing of everyone on site.
The Role
You will lead a proactive Health & Safety function, ensuring safe systems of work are understood, embedded and continuously improved across the operation.
Youll act as the trusted voice for safety on site supporting leaders, guiding teams, and driving practical improvements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide clear, practical H&S guidance to senior leaders and line managers
2. Support HR and Technical teams with safety aspects of internal and external audits
3. Develop and implement workplace Health & Safety plans in line with legislation
4. Create and embed policies and procedures that promote a consistent safety culture
5. Conduct site inspections and drive improvement actions
6. Ensure statutory inspections are completed (FLT, lifting equipment, fire systems, racking etc.)
