The Role
British Growers Association are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and detail driven Assistant Management Accountant to play a key role in supporting and developing our financial services to the UK horticultural and fresh produce industries, following the recent addition of new clients.
This is an exciting opportunity for a high-calibre Assistant Management Accountant to join a busy and evolving finance function. We are seeking candidates who already have prior experience in a similar role, either within practice or industry, and who are confident supporting month-end processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical ability, excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to take ownership of their work. This role would suit someone looking to step up within a professional environment where standards are high and development is encouraged.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparation of management accounts and cashflows
* Bank reconciliations and processing of bank payments
* Credit control and purchase ledger
* VAT returns
* Support external audit requirements
* Working with accounting software (Sage Line 50 and/or Xero preferred)
