As the demand to deliver exceptional engineering design from our clients continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for a new management team member responsible for managing the Substations Design team under the High Voltage discipline.
Are you a seasoned electrical engineer with a passion for HV substation design, team empowerment, and collaborative growth? At BakerHicks, you’ll guide a national team, champion design excellence, contribute to major UK infrastructure projects, and help shape the future of power delivery.
Responsibilities
* Manage a team of Substation Design Engineers & CAD technicians
* Collaborate with other Sectors and Disciplines within BakerHicks
* Support the Director of Power in tendering & Business Development
* Drive a number of projects as the HV Substations discipline lead
About You
* Minimum BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering (preferably a Master’s degree)
* CEng status is seen as beneficial, however not essential
* You will have good understanding of British and European Standards and technical specifications from utility providers
* Strong technical knowledge of HV disciplines and UK standards
