Shift: Day Shift 12-hours Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Location: Wakefield, MI
SUMMARY OF ROLE
The focus of this position will be to work under the direction of a lead mold maker to learn the process of mold making.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Efficiently operate manual machines such as mills and grinders and heat treat ovens.
* Efficiently operate the wet grinder and grind parts per direction and to print.
* Assist the lead mold makers with assembling molds complete with a goal of making good parts at first sample.
* Meet scheduled hours and dates of all tasks, with the goal of completing ahead of schedule.
* Maintain an attitude of Continuous Improvement. Make suggestions for improvements.
* Maintain a department that is neat, organized, and clean at all times.
Specific Responsibilities:
* Carry out tasks for tool building under the direction of the department lead person.
* Learn mold Fit, Assemble, Complete, and Inspect of injection molds.
* Responsible for Department Housekeeping, Cleanliness, and Organization as req’d.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Good mechanical aptitude, Organizational and communication Abilities a must, Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment to accomplish all tasks of the department. Ability to learn new tasks efficiently.
Training needed:
* Learn the complete process of mold building at Extreme Tool.
