Assistant Civils Design Engineer – Rail
Location: Leeds
Salary: up to £45,000 per annum
Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays; matched pension scheme up to 5%.

We are a well-established organisation with an in‑house design function, providing internal consultancy support for a broad portfolio of rail infrastructure projects across the UK.
The Role
* Support a variety of high‑profile rail projects and frameworks across the UK.
* Carry out civil engineering design for rail depots, stations, ancillary facilities, lineside works, bridges, platforms, etc.
* Assist in investigation, feasibility study, outline design, detailed design and implementation of civil engineering projects.
* Improve overall multidisciplinary awareness.
* Assist in the management and monitoring of the project budget.
About You
* Awareness of drafting and BIM software and steelwork and reinforced concrete detailing.
Qualifications
* Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Qualified to satisfy current entry requirements for CEng or IEng through ICE or IStructE.
* Experience in civil engineering railway design and/or construction.
* Desire to develop existing skills and acquire new technical competence to enhance team capability.
