SEN TEACHER
Prospero Teaching is looking for a specialist SEN Teacher to work within a special needs school, which caters for children with autism and children with SEMH needs. We are also looking to place candidates in multiple Primary schools across Bristol.
We are looking for someone with considerable experience teaching in SEN schools. The opportunity is full-time and long-term on an ongoing basis following completion of a successful trial period at the school. The successful applicant will have experience with children with special educational needs and challenging behaviour and will have hold relevant SEND qualifications and training.
VACANCY DETAILS:
1. Location: Bristol
2. Position: SEN Teacher
3. Contract: Long-term
4. Hours: Full-time – 8:30-3:30 Monday to Friday
5. Start Date: ASAP
6. Pay Rate: £100- £120 per day
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
7. Previous experience in a SEN Primary school
8. QTS/PGCE or equivilent
9. A high level of understanding about childcare and special educational needs
10. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year – Prospero can provide this
ABOUT YOU:
11. You must be resilient and have the ability to deescalate challenging behaviour
12. Ability to recognise the needs of individuals and deliver the relevant and effective teaching
13. Have high expectations for the staff and pupils and ensure these are delivered and achieved
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
14. Hold Right to Work in the UK
15. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
