The role: Lead Financial Strategy: Manage the development of revenue and capital budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and promoting long-term financial resilience. Ensure Compliance & Best Practice: Shape financial procedures, uphold accounting standards, and reinforce strong management accounting frameworks. Capital Programme Evaluation: Analyse the financial implications of capital investments and carry out appraisals to guide strategic choices. Management Information Delivery: Provide timely, accurate budget monitoring reports and enhance systems for streamlined financial reporting. Financial Systems Management: Oversee the upkeep and enhancement of core financial systems, including ledgers, asset registers, and costing models. Support & Capacity Building: Advise managers on financial matters, deliver training, and contribute to panels and cross-functional groups. Team-Oriented & Adaptive: Collaborate across teams to meet changing priorities, assist with treasury duties, and promote service quality, equity, and regulatory compliance. The Person As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience: Essential: Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. Finance, or Accountancy. Member by examination of CcAB recognised body OR Consideration will be given to candidates who do not hold the above academic qualification but who can demonstrate extensive relevant experience. Experience in a computerised accounting environment.
